A-Z Seminar
Every September our chapter holds the A-Z Seminar which is a day filled with speakers on all aspects of the construction as well as professional development and issues directly related to women.
Block Kids
Block Kids is an event held nationwide by various NAWIC chapters. Kids up to grade 6 are eligible to participate in by using their imagination to construction a building structure out of lego's, string and aluminum foil in a 45 minute time frame. Winners of this event move on to the regional competition and possibly to the national competition. Each child receives a t-shirt, medal and a goodie bag filled with items from our sponsors.
Bowling Tournament
In July 2010 we held our 2nd Annual Bowling Tournament to benefit our chapter scholarship fund. We had a great turnout and thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors and most of all bowlers to make this a successful event. Details will be coming soon for the next tournament.
This was a successful event last year and we are set to do it again! Bring in your teams and let's BOWL! Prizes will be awarded and all proceeds from bowling will go directly to our scholarship fund. Because of the success of last year's tournament, the chapter will be giving out two scholarships at the annual Salute to Construction Banquet in November.
